New government support package to help more adults with autism into work

According to the National Autistic Society, just 22% of adults with autism are employed in full-time paid work.

While employment - particularly full-time - is not appropriate or desirable for all individuals with autism, this number still lags abnormally behind employment rates for disabled people in general (52%) and the population at-large (80%).

Today we see a step in the right direction. A big focus from the Department of Work & Pensions to support those with autism into work.
